Kho Liang le was born in 1927 in Magelang and died on January 1, 1975 in Amsterdam. Kho Liang Le is a child of Chinese parents and was a Dutch industrial designer. He is best known as a designer of Schiphol’s interior design. He came to the Netherlands around 1949 and was trained at the Rietveld Academy as an interior designer and designer. In 1958 he was appointed aesthetic consultant and designer for Artifort. Thanks to his input, Artifort’s orientation is shifting to the top of the international market. Kho Liang le attracts foreign designers such as Pierre Paulin and Geoffrey Harcourt. His influence is therefore noticeable to this day. As an interior designer, Kho Liang acquired le name with his design for Schiphol in the 1960s. His work exudes purity, warmth and freedom.
